Douglas R. Irwin founded the Law Firm of Irwin & Associates in 1993 after leaving the downtown San Diego firm of Silldorf, Burdman, Duignan & Eisenberg, where he managed the firm’s Estate Planning division. Mr. Irwin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University where he received an Athletic Scholarship in Baseball. Mr. Irwin received his Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier College School of Law. During law school Mr. Irwin received the American Juris-Prudence Award for his work in Anti-Trust I and Anti-Trust II. He was also a member of the Advocacy Honors Board and was a runner-up in the National Trial Competition.

Mr. Irwin is a frequent lecturer on Estate Planning issues and sits on numerous planned giving boards. Mr. Irwin is also the Director of The Foundation for Personal Financial Education, a non-profit educational organization, and enjoys donating his time to conduct employee training at the Federal, State and County levels, as well as the training for fortune 500 companies. He is a member of the American Bar Association and is active in the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the State Bar of California and San Diego County Bar Association. Mr. Irwin enjoys the time he spends on the Del Mar Little League Board, the Torrey Pines Pop Warner Board, as well as coaching his children in their various sports programs.

The law firm of Irwin & Associates emphasizes the areas of estate planning, charitable planning and business planning. The firm has extensive experience working with numerous banks, trust departments, universities, charities and individuals assisting with the transfer of wealth from one generation to the next through the use of living trusts, testamentary trusts, charitable trusts and irrevocable trusts. The firm encourages professional development of its staff through continuing legal education, including teaching and community involvement in professional associations and civic activities.

Mr. Irwin is married to his college sweetheart and lives in Carmel Valley with their three children, Hogan (17), Audrey (15) and Taylor (5).

Michael Cameron brings more than 23 years of financial services experience, and practical business implementation to his clients and associates, including serving as Vice President at UBS Paine Webber and US Bancorp, where he managed nearly $90 million in individual investor assets. At PaineWebber, Michael ranked in the top 50 of his national peer group of more than 3400 individuals, achieving the elite National Pacesetter status. He also co-created and co-hosted a radio talk show called “The Wall Street Hour” which featured financial news, related topics and influential guests.

While at UBS PaineWebber, Michael Co-Founded a software startup called NetWorth Services (www.networthservices.com), which reconciles cost basis information for IRS form Schedule D. NetWorth Services’ products are currently used by the Internal Revenue Service, Depository Trust & Clearing Corp, Edward Jones, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, as well as independent accountants and financial advisors worldwide. Michael was instrumental in developing the flagship NetBasis program, and served as the Chief Operating Officer until 2003. NetWorth Services is an ongoing company today with nearly $5mm in annual revenue.

Most recently in 2004, Michael launched Cameron Real Estate (CRES – see www.cameronrealestateservices.com )  in his hometown of San Diego, California. With extensive knowledge of the CA and AZ real estate markets, he began investing in rehab and flip real estate projects. In 2006, he was a top producer at Prudential California Real Estate, and in 2007 earned the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation. Michael was named among the Top 100 Realtors for 2009 and 2010 by readers of San Diego Magazine, and became a Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) in 2010. Mike is currently a member of the National (NAR), CA (CAR) and SD Assoc. of Realtors (SDAR) and currently serves on the Budget and Asset Committee at SDAR, and also served as Co-Chair on the Investment Committee while serving in that committee for nearly 3 years at SDAR. Michael is active with the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM), and BIOCOM.

Michael also enjoys serving as Director at The Foundation for Personal Financial Planning (FPFE), Michael says “I love educating, and supporting individuals in obtaining the personal power to take control of their decision making when it comes to their own financial future. Over the years, I’ve seen so many people rely on others to make their decisions, and that very often ends in disappointing results.” Michael is married and lives in the beautiful community of Carmel Valley.
